Abstract:The stick-slip behaviors of wheel-rail between LM, LMA, S1002, XP55 wheel profiles and CHN60 rail in static rolling contact were analyzed using the rolling contact theory of three-dimensional elastic bodies with non-Hertz form and numerical program of CONTACT. The numerical results indicate that the stick-slip characteristics of wheel-rail between LM, LMA, S1002, XP55 wheel profiles and CHN60 rail are different. The wheel profile has obvious effect on area of contact zone, stick-slip distributing amd friction work wheel-rail. The stick-slip characteristic between LMA wheel profile and CHN60 rail is better and the areas of contact zone and stick zone are larger. The stick-slip behaviors between S1002 wheel profile and CHN60 rail is better than that of XP55 wheel profile.
