    Abstract:

In non-inertial coordinate system, the L -shaped columns element stiffness matrix was derived from the study of load-bearing capacity of the L-shaped columns considering shear deformation effects. Using the matrix, a finite element program of L-shaped column frame structure internal forces analysis was compiled. Final calculated a 3-layer frame structure and compared to ANSYS calculation results and the calculation results of equivalent rectangular column the following conclusions was drew. Shear deformation of the L-shaped column is greatly different from that of equivalent rectangular column; whether to consider the effects of reverse or not has great influence on the torque of L-shaped column.
