To improve the analysis and design efficiency of McPhersonstrut suspension,a mathematical model of suspension based on force analysis and damping calculation was established.The design procedure of confirming parameters of coil spring stiffness and shock absorber damping based on designed offset frequency and relative damping ratio was put forward,and a set of special software of stiffness and damping parameter analysis and design for McPhersonstrut suspension system was designed.The test results of virtual prototype verify the accuracy of mathematical models and calculating software on stiffness and damping characteristics analysis.
