    Abstract:

Torque interruption occurs during gear shifting of automated manual transmission (AMT). An active transmission device electrified manual transmission (eMT) is proposed for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) application. Key technical characters of eMT are fixed axle gearboxes and parallel HEVs. Through integrated design of motor and transmission, eMT can fully coordinate the multiple power sources to meet the vehicle power demand. This technology makes use of the existing fixed axle transmission technology by overcoming the torque interrupting shortcomings.
