    Abstract:

    Finite element method (FEM) model of a ventilated disc brake was established to predict the thermomechanical dynamics under emergency braking condition.Four friction models,including original friction model acquired from test result,maximal constant friction coefficient model,minimum constant friction coefficient model,and equivalent constant friction coefficient model to original model,were used for the numerical simulation.The simulation results were compared and the applicability of the friction model was investigated based on the thermomechanical effect of disc brake.
