    Abstract:

    In order to obtain body loading spectrum of high accuracy in fatigue prediction, a procedure of the spindle displacement back-calculation to acquire body loading spectrum is presented, with a case study of a light-duty bus. Firstly, road loads in the providing ground is collected by arrangement of some sensors. Secondly, the multi-body dynamic simulation model is established with a satisfied accuracy. Finally, virtual iteration is introduced in theory, and applied to cascade body loads from the wheel hubs. The conclusion can be drawn that the simulation signals obtained from the proposed method accords with the experimental data, and thus the extract load information of the body interface points can be utilized to evaluate the fatigue life time.
