    Abstract:

    The equation of solute transport in groundwater is divided into the convection equation and the diffusion equation by using the splitting method. The entropy scheme is applied to solve the conservation equation while the central difference scheme is applied to solve the diffusion equation. Numerical experiments show that the scheme does not produce excessive problems, and no physical oscillation occurs.
