    Abstract:

    Mechanical model of the H beam with corrugated webs were established,and the webs’ academic formulas of shear strength was put forward based upon both the plate partial buckling and global buckling theory.Four members were tested and the finite element numerical simulation was conducted in parallel to study the influence of different factors on the strength,such as corrugation dimensions,web thickness,etc.The test results show that shear strength of corrugated web can exceed steel shear yield strength,if the corrugation dimension is rational,and the finite element method can effectively predict the shear strength and the failure mode.Finally,the design proposal is put forward upon the theoretical analysis experimental investigation results.
