    Abstract:

In this paper, the concept of passive energy district is proposed to build a research framework of urban form and energy consumption under the action of multi-element. By using the multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) and taking three simulation experiments under Shanghai climate condition as examples, the law of building energy consumption change with urban form elements, including building typology, district capacity, usage pattern, is revealed. Finally, the optimal design strategy of urban spatial form for passive energy district is put forward.
