      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (407) HTML (11) PDF 0.00 Byte (296) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Incidence degree of adjacent intersections is the key parameter to analyze the traffic condition and design the coordination plan of intersections group. Firstly, the shortcomings of traditional link-based incidence degree model were analyzed. Secondly, a route-based incidence model was built. In the proposed route-based model, not only distance between intersections but also signal phases, route volume distribution and queue at approaches were considered. Finally, a case study, including two intersections is given. The performance of traditional link-based incidence model and proposed route-based incidence model were compared. The impacts of distance between intersections, queues, number of lanes and number of signal phases were analyzed. The results show that the proposed route-based incidence model has the ability to descript the real relationship of adjunct intersections and find the key route for signal coordination.

    • Immobilization Methods of Electrodes for Toxic Microbial Biosensor

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (536) HTML (25) PDF 0.00 Byte (506) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The bovine serum albumin-glutaraldehyde cross-linking process and polycarbonate membrane immobilization process were used to prepare E.coli microbial electrodes for toxic microbial biosensor, and their performance for heavy metals and toxic organic compounds toxicity determination were studied. The results showed that the sensitivity of the E.coli microbial electrodes prepared by GA-BSA immobilization method was very poor, and was not suit for toxicity assessment. E.coli microbial electrode prepared by polycarbonate membrane immobilization process exhibited high sensitivity and good stability for toxicity determination, and it could still suit for the toxicity assessment after 2 months storage at 4℃. The polycarbonate membrane immobilization process is very simple, and it can realize the reuse of electrodes and thus reduced the cost of toxicity determination with microbial biosensor.

    • Study of Buckling Coefficient of Steel and Concrete Composite Beams with external tendons under Negative Bending

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (773) HTML (11) PDF 0.00 Byte (1003) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Abstract: In hogging moment regions, the cracking resistance of the beams can be effectively in creased on adding prestressing to the composite beams with external tendons,. The ultimate resistance of a composite beam prestressed with external tendon is governed by either distortional lateral buckling or local buckling, or an interactive mode composed of the two buckling which is sharply different from the lateral torsional buckling mode in a bare steel beam. Based on the proposed restrained torsional buckling model, inelastic finite element buckling analysis of composite beams in negative bending is investigated, considering the initial geometric imperfection and the residual stress patterns, and the FE results are found agree well with the test results. By varying cross-section parameters, 25 groups of composite beams under negative uniform bending with initial geometric imperfection and different patterns of residual stress in steel beams are studied by means of the FE method. The slenderness of the studied beam is defined and the calculated result is compared with the Chinese Codified steel column design curves. It is demonstrated that the Chinese Codified steel column design curves can be used in assessment of the buckling strength of composite beams with the slenderness defined.

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (429) HTML (31) PDF 0.00 Byte (460) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Analytical displacements and stresses during expanding hole in plane of viscoelasticity are studied in this paper. According to the basic equations, Laplace transform is introduced to deduce the differential equation of displacement in Laplace space. General expression of displacement and stresses in Laplace space is derived firstly. For stress boundary problem, inverse transforming of above stresses solutions, undetermined function in the solutions can be determined by boundary conditions, and final expressions of stresses and displacement are obtained. The solutions have no restrictive condition of volume incompressible, and are also suit for the cases that spherical tensor have the characteristic of viscoelasticity. The application of the method is given to the problem of H-Kelvin viscoelastic model. Comparison of displacement of different varying velocity shows that displacement is changed gently if radius varied slowly, but displacenmet is larger in end varying time.

      Abstract (564) HTML (25) PDF 0.00 Byte (369) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:This paper applies the field theory to semantic space and puts forward the semantic field model, which depicts the interaction between ontology concepts and the distribution law of semantics. First, this paper formally defines and describes the semantic field from the perspectives of potential, gradient and intensity. The potential represents the semantics of a certain position in the semantic field; the gradient describes local semantics change of the semantic field; and the field intensity reflects the strength of semantics association among concepts. Then, we discuss the influence scope of field sources, mass calculation of ontology concepts and the optimal selection of influence factor. Finally, the paper shows us the application prospects of semantic field in semantic-based resource clustering, semantic-supporting P2P application system and evolution analysis of ontology knowledge

    • Research on Fatigue Properties of Asphalt Rubber Mixtures

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (686) HTML (34) PDF 0.00 Byte (476) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:According to AASHTO TP8 in American standard specification, three point bending fatigue loading test method was modified to evaluate the fatigue properties of asphalt rubber (AR) mixture according to Arizona specification. Material test system was used to strain-control mode. Test result shows that the relation between fatigue life and strain level of AR gap-graded mixture is in a good linearity. Compared to traditional AC-13 gradation mixture which two conventional binders including polymer-modified asphalt (PMA) and conventional asphalt are used, AR gap-graded mixture indicates a better fatigue performance. Rutting test also is used to evaluate the high temperature performance, AR gap-graded mixture whose asphalt content is 1.6 times higher than PMA mixture’s still shows same high temperature performance as PMA mixture. The excellent fatigue performance and high temperature performance of AR mixture is mainly due to three reasons: high crumb rubber content in asphalt make the AR super high performance, gap gradation make the mixture accommodate high asphalt content, high asphalt content and high crumb rubber content in asphalt make the AR mixture excellent fatigue performance.

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (402) HTML (33) PDF 0.00 Byte (311) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Based on the Hertz contact theory and curve beam theory, the von Mises stress peak value and location were analyzed which is raised in the wheel-rail contact of turntable support hollow wheels, with further analysis using planer strain finite element showed that the decreased wheel section height would increase the wheel flexibility, suppress contact normal stress and raise the wheel strength; but also might cause the peak location of von Mises stress spitted from center of contact area, which could double the stress circulation and reduce wheel fatigue strength. As for the wheel shear stress and rail von Mises stress, there is little influence caused by the variety of wheel section height to the peak value and location.

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (646) HTML (29) PDF 0.00 Byte (734) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The adsorption of a dye, Methylene Blue, by activated sludge and anaerobic sludge, respectively, was investigated. The roles of extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) including the soluble EPS (SEPS) and bound EPS (BEPS) for the biosorption of activated sludge and anaerobic sludge were further determined. Results show that the relation between remained concentration of the Methylene Blue in mixed liquor and adsorption amount of by EPS, SEPS and BEPS from activated sludge as well as by EPS and BEPS from anaerobic sludge, respectively, was more fitted Langmuir model. Freundlich model was more fitted to SEPS from anaerobic sludge. The amount of adsorbed Methylene Blue by unit mass SEPS were much higher than the corresponding values of BEPS, averaging 14.1 times for activated sludge and 5.8 times for anaerobic sludge. However, the amount of adsorbed Methylene Blue by EPS was mostly contributed by BEPS due to much higher the amount of BEPS than corresponding amount of SEPS for both sludges.

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (359) HTML (29) PDF 0.00 Byte (495) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:A signaling game, where the occupational pension fund management institutions are senders and compete for licenses while the regulation authority is receiver, is set up. Normative analysis shows that the separating equilibrium of market success, where high-ability institutions signal the competence with a cost higher than that low-ability institutions can support in order to prevent them from strategic signal inference of low-ability institutions, exists. And the more the high-ability institutions are, the lower the signaling cost is. With signaling cost data from content analysis empirical study shows the higher probability of winning the licenses is accompanied by higher signaling cost

    • CONTROLLABILITY ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURE WITH CLOSELY SPACED NATURAL FREQUENCIES BASED ON PERTURBATION METHOD

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (831) HTML (48) PDF 0.00 Byte (830) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:To figure out the influence of frequency intensity to the controllability of structures with closely-spaced natural frequencies, the paper established perturbation equations of closed-loop system between frequencies, mode damping ratios and perturbation parameters beginning from the basic dynamics equations. The analysis focuses on a three-degree-of-freedom structure with closely spaced natural frequencies. The velocity and displacement feedbacks are considered in the calculation. Calculation results suggest that the damping ratios of two modes are decreasing together with the decreasing of the degree of closely spaced natural frequencies which indicate that the controllability of corresponding modes are decreasing to zero. The uncertainties in mass and stiffness matrices are also included in the final part if this paper. Calculation results imply that the coupling degrees of different modes would be changed due to uncertainties and then the controllability will change.

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (598) HTML (10) PDF 0.00 Byte (440) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Researched on the evaluation methods of asphalt mixture high temperature performance with PR additives added using rutting test, uniaxial penetration test and repeated shear test (constant height) (RSCH). The results of rutting test show that, for the confliction between dynamic stability and rutting depth, it is hard to discriminate the impacts on mixture high temperature performance between PR.S and PR.M. Using extreme shearing strength of uniaxial penetration test and K1, K2, N, γ of RSCH, as the evaluation indexes of asphalt mixture high temperature performance with PR additives added, obtain the same conclusion, and both of the two methods are suitable for high temperature performance evaluation. The four indexes of RSCH not only represent asphalt mixture high temperature performance with PR additives added, but also discriminate the different steps of shearing deformation progress, and represent the mixture damage mechanics.

    • A Study On The Pricing In The Oligopoly Supply Chain Cooperated On Price

      2009, 37(11).

      Abstract (441) HTML (37) PDF 0.00 Byte (841) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The study sets up a model of a single two-staged supply chain, two sides of which are both oligarchic enterprises. The paper examines how to price the intemediate and the terminal products with the pricing cooperation between the supplier and the manufacturer, and how without the cooperation. The differences hencefore in the gross profit of the supply chain are compared. The result shows that with the pricing cooperation the rate of the increase in the profit is not only positively related to the elasticity of demand for the terminal products and to the cost of the supplier, but also negatively related to the price elasticity of demand for the supplier. Since the excess profit of the whole chain does not represent the one of an individual enterprise, the paper then follows up to probe into the excess profit, suggesting the premises for a stable supply chain cooperated on pricing.

      Abstract (1091) HTML (45) PDF 0.00 Byte (895) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Distinct element simulation in jointed rock masses is largely dependent upon the joint constitutive equations. Based on UDEC numerical simulation software, this paper detail describes the differences between the Barton-Bandis (BB) and the Mohr-Coulomb (MC) joint constitutive models when each model is applied to the stability analysis of the jointed rock slopes. The BB model, which allows the dilation accompanying the shear movements, can predict a good slope motion law consistent with field monitoring, therefore, the BB model is more suitable for analysising jointed rock projects. Consequently the 10 cm thick shotcrete was proposed for the reinforcement of this rock slope from the result of the BB model simulation, the result showed that proposition for the reinforcement of the slope was proved appropriate reinforcement method, the jointed rock slope is constructing according to this reinforcement method.

Abstract:Applicability and calculation method of cubic spline interpolation applied in longitudinal deformation curve fitting of cross-river shield tunnel were analyzed, and longitudinal deformation curve of cross-river shield tunnel was fitted by using cubic spline interpolation method, and longitudial deformation curvature of whole tunnel was calculated by curve fitting equation. Based on longitudinal structure analysis model of cross-river tunnel, relationship under different critical state between longitudinal deformation curvature and circular seam stretching-amount was built.Correlation between longitudinal deformation curvature of cross-river tunnel and circular seam leakage was evaluated, by comparing leakage detection results of cross-river tunnel on site. The results show that critical curvature radius value of cross-river shield tunnel is smaller than metro shield tunnel. When longitudinal deformation curvature radius of cross-river tunnel is less than 2407.1m and its circular seam stretching-amount is more than 3mm, the probability that leakage appear in circular seam is relatively high. When longitudinal deformation curvature radius of cross-river tunnel is less than 1256.8m and its circular seam stretching-amount is more than 6mm, water sealing measures of circular seam is invalid, and serious leakage may appear in tunnel.

Abstract:Based on UDEC numerical simulation software, this paper illustrates in detail the differences between the BartonBandis (BB) and the MohrCoulomb (MC) joint constitutive models when each model is applied to the stability analysis of the jointed rock slopes. The BB model, which allows the dilation accompanying the shear movements, can predict a good slope motion law consistent with field monitoring, while the slope motion law by MC model is in coherent contact with field monitoring, therefore, the BB model is more suitable for anglicizing jointed rock projects.Consequently, the 10 cm thick shotcrete is proposed for the reinforcement of this rock slope from the result of the BB model simulation. The result shows that proposition for the reinforcement of the slope is proved an appropriate reinforcement method, and the jointed rock slope is constructed according to this reinforcement method.

Abstract:Applicability and calculation method of cubic spline interpolation in longitudinal deformation curve fitting of crossriver shield tunnel were analyzed, and longitudinal deformation curve of crossriver shield tunnel was fitted by using cubic spline interpolation method, and longitudial deformation curvature of whole tunnel was calculated by curve fitting equation.Based on longitudinal structure analysis model of crossriver tunnel, relationship under different critical states between longitudinal deformation curvature and circular seam stretchingamount was built.Correlation between longitudinal deformation curvature of crossriver tunnel and circular seam leakage was evaluated,by comparing leakage detection results of crossriver tunnel on site. The results show that critical curvature radius value of crossriver shield tunnel is smaller than metro shield tunnel. When longitudinal deformation curvature radius of crossriver tunnel is less than 2407.1m and its circular seam stretchingamount is more than 3mm,the probability that leakage occurs to the circular seam is relatively high. When longitudinal deformation curvature radius of crossriver tunnel is less than 1 256.8m and its circular seam stretchingamount is more than 6 mm,water sealing measures of circular seam is invalid, and serious leakage may appear in tunnel.

Abstract:A study is made of the analytical displacements and stresses during expanding hole in plane of viscoelasticity.According to the basic equations,Laplace transform is introduced to deduce the differential equation of displacement in Laplace space.General expression of displacement and stresses in Laplace space is derived firstly. For stress boundary problem, inverse transforming of above stresses solutions, undetermined function in the solutions can be determined by boundary conditions, and final expressions of stresses and displacement are obtained. The solutions have no restrictive condition of volume incompressible, and also suit for the cases that spherical tensor has the characteristic of viscoelasticity. The method is applied to the problem of HKelvin viscoelastic model.Comparison of displacements of varying velocities shows that the displacement changs gently if radius varies slowly, but the displacenment becoms large in the end.

Abstract:According to AASHTO TP8 in American standard specification, three point bending fatigue loading test method was modified to evaluate the fatigue properties of asphalt rubber (AR) mixture according to Arizona specification.Material test system was used to straincontrol mode.Test result shows that the relation between fatigue life and strain level of AR gapgraded mixture is in a good linearity.Compared to traditional AC-13 gradation mixture which two conventional binders including polymermodified asphalt (PMA) and conventional asphalt are used,AR gapgraded mixture presents a better fatigue performance.Rutting test is also used to evaluate the high temperature performance,AR gapgraded mixture whose asphalt content is 1.6 times higher than PMA mixture’s still shows the same high temperature performance as PMA mixture. The excellent fatigue performance and high temperature performance of AR mixture is mainly due to three reasons: high crumb rubber content in asphalt makes the AR super high performance;gap gradation makes the mixture accommodate high asphalt content;high asphalt and crumb rubber contents in asphalt make the AR mixture excellent fatigue performance.

Abstract:An investigation is made into the evaluation methods of the performance of the asphalt mixture with PR additives at high temperature based on the rutting test, uniaxial penetration test and repeated shear test (constant height) (RSCH).The results of the rutting test show that, for the confliction between dynamic stability and rutting depth,it is hard to discriminate the impacts of PR.S(PR plast S) and PR.M(PR flex module) on the high temperature performance of mixtures. With the ultimate shearing strength of uniaxial penetration test and k1,k2,n,γ of RSCH,as the evaluation indexes of high temperature performance of the asphalt mixture with PR additives, the same conclusion is drawn, and both of the two methods are suitable for high temperature performance evaluation. The four indexes of RSCH not only represent high temperature performance of the asphalt mixture with PR additives, but also discriminate the different steps of shearing deformation progress, therefore, the mixture damage mechanics is depicted.

Abstract:The study sets up a model of a single twostaged supply chain, two sides of which are both oligarchic enterprises. The paper examines how to price the intemediate and the terminal products with the pricing cooperation between the supplier and the manufacturer, and how without the cooperation. The differences hencefore in the gross profit of the supply chain are compared. The result shows that with the pricing cooperation the rate of the increase in the profit is not only positively related to the elasticity of demand for the terminal products and to the cost of the supplier, but also negatively related to the price elasticity of demand for the supplier.Since the excess profit of the whole chain does not represent the one of an individual enterprise, the paper then follows up to probe into the excess profit, suggesting the premises for a stable supply chain cooperated on pricing.
