Abstract:The construction of underground works or tunnel excavation will lead to the displacement of the surrounding soil.Lateral soil movements and load mostly have a negative influence on the bearing characteristics of axially loaded piles.The finite difference software FLAC 3D is adopted to analyze the behavior of axially loaded piles subjected to lateral soil movement.The effects of soil strength,pile bending stiffness and pile head constraint on the response of pile are analyzed.The results from the numerical analysis show that the increase of the lateral soil movements and/or the axial load will greatly influence the bending moment and deflection of the axially loaded pile.The behavior of the axially loaded pile is also affected by different soil strength,pile bending stiffness and pile head constraint.Therefore,the coupling effect of lateral soil movement and axial load can not be ignored in practical pile design.

Abstract:Based on the thermomechanical approach to establish elasticplastic constitutive model for geomaterials and analysis of thermomechanical model proposed by Collins,its shortage of hardening law is improved by incorporating unified hardening parameters,then the unified model which is suitable for both clay and sand is presented.After the threedimension being generalized,the finite element method (FEM) computer program of thermomechanical model and the improved model which consider the deformation characters of traditional triaxial test are worked out.Then the improved program is used to simulate traditional triaxial compression tests of Shanghai silt sand,the rationality and validity of the improved model can be seen from the comparison of the calculated results.

Abstract:Based on the experimental results from drained plane strain compression(PSC)tests on saturated sand under complex loading histories,the ratedependent behaviors of sand due to its viscous properties were studied.It was found that sand exhibits obvious loading rate effects,creep deformation and stress relaxation.When monotonic loading was restarted immediately after a stepchange in the strain rate or following a creep loading or stress relaxation stage,the stressstrain relation showed a very high tangent stiffness.A nonlinear finite element method(FEM)analysis technique was developed.In the FEM analyses,the sand was described by the threecomponent elastoviscoplastic constitutive model.It was shown that the present FEM analyses can properly simulate the global stressstrain relationships obtained from the experiments.And the whole process including the variable strain rate loadings,the creep loading and stress relaxation stages were implemented in the FEM analyses.

Abstract:A total of five repaired beamcolumn joints(BCJs) were predamaged under cyclic loads in order to study on the seismic behavior.The experimental study including predamage,rehabilitation and retest under cyclic loads concentrated on the effect on different levels of predamage and epoxy injection.Through the test data,namely the hysteresis curves,ductility,ultimate strength and stiffness degradation,etc,the following conclusion is drawn that the rehabilitation with basalt fiber sheets has notable influence on the seismic performance of joints,but ultimate loads limited.The repaired BCJs can reach or even exceed the level of their original seismic performance before predamage.The failure mode of strong beam and weak column is changed into strong column and weak beam after rehabilitations.The proper method is used in need for strengthening the damaged joints.

Abstract:In order to study the long term cyclic degradation characteristics of saturated marine silty sand,a series of monotonic and cyclic undrained triaxial tests were conducted on isotropically and anisotropically consolidated natural undisturbed saturated silty sand with the shear wave measured by bender element system during cyclic loading.The influences of consolidation mode,cyclic stress ratio and cyclic number on the reduction of stiffness and strength of saturated sand were mainly analyzed.The experimental results show that under the same consolidated condition the undrained strength and stiffness of saturated sand markedly reduce with the increase of the cyclic stress ratio and the progressive number of cycles.On the other hand,anisotropic consolidation decelerates the degradation of stiffness under the same cyclic stress ratio.The dynamic deviatoric stress level is used to describe the reduction of stiffness and strength of saturated marine silty sand under cyclic loading.

Abstract:Twentytwo concrete beams reinforced with Grade HRB500 or HRBF500 longitudinal hot ribbed steel bars were tested to investigate their cracking characteristics and evaluate the formulas for crack spacing and crack width specified in the design code GB50010—2002.Twentytwo of average crack spacing dates and ninetytwo groups of crack width with the stresses of reinforcement at cracking sections ranging from 201 MPa to 482 MPa were obtained by these tests.The test results show that the values of average crack spacing,average crack width and maximum crack width which are predicted by the formulas of code GB50010—2002 are greater than the experimental ones in general and the average ratios of them are 1.127,1.557 and 1.535 respectively.Based on the test results,the modified formulas of crack width are put forward for the beams with 500 MPa hot ribbed steel bars,while the conversion formula of the crack width at the tension edge and the reinforcement center of beam side face is proposed.The proposed calculation formulas agree with the experimental results.

Abstract:The dynamic response of fixedend concretefilled steel tube specimens under lateral impact is numerically simulated.The developing mechanics and characteristics of “plastic hinges” at the location of the midspan and support section of these specimens are then analyzed.At last,a simplified analytic model is put forward to predict the maximum deflection of circular concretefilled steel tube specimen under lateral impact.The comparisons and validations of a set of cases show that the results from the simplified analytic model agree well to the results from the numerical model.The simplified analytic model can give an ideal prediction on the dynamic ultimate moments of the support and midspan sections and the maximum deflection of the midspan.It can also be referenced by engineering.

Abstract:Polystyrene foam being recycled are broken into particles with the size of 3~8 mm which are mixed with cement and glue powder in a certain proportion into expanded polystyrene foam concrete and are made into the shape of torus with centersymmetric blocks that are filled in neutral axis location of insitu twoway slabs.A lot of concrete can be saved and the cost reduces accordingly.And this new castinsitu slab with EPSblock under dead load is analyzed through the finite element analysis software ANSYS.Results show that the slab with EPSblock is of good performance which is prospecting in development.

Abstract:Based on principle of conservation of energy,a method adopting compactly supported radial basis function (CRBF) is proposed to perform fluidstructure interaction (FSI) analysis.The displacement transfer matrix H is deduced and a corresponding program by CRBF/FSI algorithm is developed.Example of displacement exchange with 3D interface is studied.The numerical solution by CRBF/FSI method is compared with analytical solution.The result shows that CRBF/FSI method is efficient and accurate.It is suitable for FSI data exchange with complicated interface and has a bright future in project application.

Abstract:Considering the characteristics of directeffect and statetransfer among vehicles,the dynamicclassified method is first put forward to discriminate anisotropic and diversity of traffic flows.Based on vehicle travelling characteristics and intervehicles force,matrixes of relatedstate and traffic risk are introduced to analyze dangerous condition.Realtime risk index is then set up after constituting traffic flow riskgrades.Experiments on some freeway sections of highfrequency accident validate the relation between traffic flow risk index and historical accidents.

Abstract:Ferry terminal of Watergate and ferry passenger in EXPO 2010 Shanghai Garden is one of the important places with a commitment to highstrength and highdensity passenger flow distribution.Through the analysis of activities chain,routing feature and security requirement of the pedestrian traffic inside the passenger terminal,the function zoning method of a ferry terminal is proposed and the dimension of various walking facilities and streamlines organization method is recommended.Based on the pedestrian simulation platform,the criteria and evaluation methods of the adaptability of the flow organization scenario are studied,and the optimization method in combination with the case studies of the 1st Watergate and ferry passenger in Expo2010 Garden is proposed.

Abstract:In order to effectively surrogate the traditional evaluation method based on the accident data,the calculation method of carfollowing safety distance including the membership function of weather condition in the microscopic fuzzy inference system for risk perception was improved.The whole road risk perception index was put forward to measure the total driving environment and the average risk evaluation indicator of rearend collision was developed for macroscopic traffic flow.The value of the average risk indicator could be achieved by simulation of AIMSUN software.Then,the Fuzzy cmeans cluster method was used to develop the criterion of the indicator.Therefore,the research results can provide a support for the early warning technology of traffic accidents.

Abstract:Transverse joint faulting is a common structural disease of cement concrete pavement,and to accurately predict the development of faulting is significantly important for guiding the formulation of pavement maintenance measures.Several typical cement concrete pavement transverse joint faulting models at home and abroad are comprehensively analyzed,and both the evolution process of the models and the trend of the model parameters’ embodiment and recessivation are studied.Besides,analysis of transverse joint faulting of LiuNan expressway in Guangxi shows that the occurrence and development of premature faulting is not mainly caused by thin slabs and inaccuracy of traffic prediction,but poorly-designed joints;the Setting of dowel bars in the joint can slow down the development of joint faulting,thus provide enough time for the implementation of preventive maintenance and facilitate the reasonable formulation of preventive maintenance plan.Finally,both the basic principles and the integrated amendment method for the application of other countries’ or regions’ models are brought forth,which provides a useful reference to our models’ establishment and a solid theory for popularizing and developing cement concrete pavement preventive maintenance.

Abstract:Pavement images through charge coupled device (CCD) cameras always go with nonuniform background illumination,therefore,the paper presents an improved typical methods for background correction,including modified Cheng’s method and two modified average background methods,background subtraction and correction coefficient method.The methods mentioned are applied to real pavement distress images and the results show that modified Cheng’s method has advantage in simplified calculation and can be applied to any pavement image.Moreover,background subtraction has stronger ability to eliminate background noise compared to the correction coefficient method,but images corrected by correction coefficient method are more suitable to the observation of human eye.Besides,the result of segmentation after background correction shows that Ostu method can provide good segmented images when the background is uniform in pavement images.

Abstract:Stable lysozymeliposomes were synthesized via reversephase evaporation.Lysozyme and its liposomes were separately used to remove the stable biofilms cultivated on stainless steel surface.The liposomes and biofilms were characterized by Zeta potential analyzer,transmission electron microscope(TEM),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectrometer.The experimental results show that the liposomes are of the average diameter of 80~100 nm and an average entrapment efficiency of 82.4%.Under the same concentration condition,free lysozyme and lysozymeliposomes can effectively remove total biomass of the biofilm,which forms with a mixed bacterial consortium,up to 62.4 % and 86.5 %,respectively.Lysozymeliposome reduces bacterial in biofilm and solutions by 89.6% and 99.6%,respectively,in 24 hours.Therefore,lysozymeliposome can effectively control the biofilm pollution on the stainless steel surface.

Abstract:This paper aimes to establish logic framework for the analysis of planning coordination,which includes three steps,the collection and screening of target plans,then the assessment of planning coordination,and finally the harmonization of the conflicts or inconsistency among plans.And two dimensions should be involved in the analysis process according to the concept of coordination,namely the plan interactivity and plan consistency.A measurable index system is set up to evaluate the level of planning coordination via Delphi approach together with the theoretical study mentioned above.Finally,a case which applies this framework to conducting a planning coordination analysis in the practice of planning environmental impact assessment further demonstrates that the analysis of planning coordination serves not only as an assessment tool,but also an effective mechanism to stress the conflicts among correlative decisionmakings.

Abstract:The nonlinear characteristic of tire’s grounding friction being considered,a dynamic model of the polygonal wear of tire is established by using dynamical LuGre friction model based on the lateral vibration of tire tread.Then the stability of the system is analyzed,and the selfexcited vibration of the tire is proved to be a kind of stable periodic vibration caused by Hopf bifurcation of system.The results show that the polygonal wear of tire is a typical nonlinear selfexcitation vibration phenomenon which is related to lateral vibration of tire tread and the polygonal number is equivalent to the ratio of the lateral vibration frequency of tire tread to the rotational frequency of tire.The ranges of speed and toeinangle which can motivate selfexcited vibration are given through simulation.The results show that the model can interpret the formation mechanism of the polygonal wear,and provide a theoretic foundation to reduce or eliminate the tire’s selfexcited vibration.

Abstract:The contribution of ice storage system to the power grid and electricity sector,that was,the positive externalities of ice storage system was studied.A methodology was presented to calculate the carbon dioxide emissions reduction caused by the utilization of ice storage system.Further,the typical ice storage system in an office building in Zhejiang province was analyzed.The results show that the utilization of ice storage system can improve the power grid load factor so as to enable the electricity sector cut emissions.And,carbon dioxide emissions reduction per unit of storage capacity for the typical ice storage system is 0.686 kg·kWh-1.In the cooling periods of 2006,every time the load factor of East China power grid varied 1%,the variation of coal consumption of power supply was 4.982 g·kWh-1.In addition,it’s proposed that carbon dioxide emission reductions can be used as an indicator to assess the contribution of ice storage systems to power grid.

Abstract:To obtain optimal performance layout design scheme,the layout positioning model representation method based on artificial potential field was proposed.And by creating the model of the attraction potential field,the repulsion potential fields and the total potential superposition field under different influence factors,the layout positioning design problem was transformed into searching for potential extreme position in artificial potential field.Then the digital potential field of the layout environment state model was obtained by using grid model to describe the layout space environment information.The layout positioning algorithm model based on improved continuous ant colony algorithm was presented to obtain layout positioning scheme.The comparison results of layout design scheme solved in several algorithms reveal the effectiveness of the proposed artificial layout potential field model and optimization algorithm.

Abstract:The paper presents a novel method which enhances the capability of the reversible binary image data hiding scheme using runlength(RL)histogram modification algorithm.Before adopting the reversible binary image data hiding scheme using histogram RL modification algorithm,some pretreatments like AND operation and XOR operation are processed first.Experimental results prove its superiority to other methods.

Abstract:For the current spatial transformation models and methods based on a pair of threedimensional coordinates of the superposition points cannot be applied to the entire region of thousands of square kilometers,this paper presents a direct solution for the spatial transformation parameters from the threedimensional geocentric coordinate system to the regional coordinate system based on the projection plane.Consequently,the ellipsoid parameters and the spatial transformation parameters can be appropriately solved with normal height obtained by leveling on some GPS control points,in the process of determining the optimal regional ellipsoid fitting the existing projection plane.As this spatial transformation model has nothing to do with the existing plane coordinates,this method can be applied while maintaining the existing plane coordinates unchanged.

Abstract:Based on mediumlong baseline GPS kinematic positioning model and the theory of classic fading Kalman filter,a modified fading factor vector is proposed.Different widths of sliding windows are used to obtain a series of parallel filters.The weight factor of covariance is decided by the residuals of every filter.The modified fading Kalman filter is more effective and sensitive than classic Kalman filter.Various experiments are made to test the performance of this method.The results show the precision of longbaseline GPS kinematic positioning is improved.

Abstract:The best filter method was proposed and the window size was determined by the structure function to improve the accuracy of extracting the atmospheric effects from the residual phase by filtering in the Permanent scatter interferomentry SAR(PSInSAR)technique.The linear deformation rate of permanent scatterers was analyzed to examine the distribution of data and detect outliers,and then was interpolated with Kriging method.To verify the method,Nantong was chosen as the test area and 15 Envisat SAR images acquired during period of 2006—2007 were used to detect the ground subsidence of Nantong.The experimental results show that the method can improve the accuracy of the extraction of atmospheric effects.A ground subsidence rate map of Nantong with high resolution is generated.Several subsidence funnels are found in Nantong downtown during the period of 2006—2007.There are not large subsidence funnels in Nantong downtown between 2006 and 2007,and the subsidence rate of most regions in Nantong city is no more than 11 mm annually.

Abstract:The multitask principleagent models are presented to study the incentive mechanism between local government and universities.In this model,two main tasks of universities,namely,teaching and research are considered.Mechanisms under three kinds of relationships between the two tasks,namely,independent,substitutable and complementary,are discussed,respectively.The main conclusions are as follows.If the two tasks are complementary,incentives on research can improve teaching level.On the other hand,if the two tasks are substitutable,incentives on research will induce the university to ignore teaching and attach too much attention on research.As a result,the incentive performance will be weakened.To overcome this problem,subjective evaluation and supervision mechanisms are introduced to converting the substitutable relationship to a complementary one.In addition,it indicates that by redesigning incentive mechanisms,the incentive efficiency can be enhanced effectively.

Abstract:In view of the fact that the decision makers in deciding process tend to consider the uncertainty of yielding their expected profits in addition to an investigation of the expected profits,the objective function in buyback contract is taken into account for the purpose of “utility”,an overstockriskaverse factor is proposed to describe the decision activity of a riskaverse retailer,and then a buyback incentive model is constructed correspondingly on the basis of Stackelberg Game.By comparing with the buyback model containing a riskneutral retailer,some quantificational conclusions about the effect of decisionmakers’ overstockriskaverse tendency are drawn:as for an overstockriskaverse retailer,the supplier should adopt an incentive strategy,which means the retailer may get a premium.A targetbuyback incentive strategy on the basis of wholesale price is designed to give a countermeasure to eliminate the effect of the retailer’s overstockriskaverse preference,whose effectiveness is also proved.

Abstract:In order to establish the scheme evaluation model oriented to customer satisfaction through the product life cycle,the traditional quality function deployment(QFD) is improved to actualize the waterfall disassembling.Since the attribute weight plays a vital role in the following evaluation,IQFDE method is brought forward to acquire the weight of each attribute.Analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is used to get the first weight,then the entropy theory is used to obtain the revised weight.In this way,the purpose of combing the subjective and objective weight together is fulfilled.Because the spare schemes own the fuzzy characteristic,the Euclid norm is used to sequence the schemes.It can be testified by the case that the method of IQFDE and Euclid norm can acquire the best scheme oriented to the customer satisfaction.
