Abstract:Mechanical model of the H beam with corrugated webs were established,and the webs’ academic formulas of shear strength was put forward based upon both the plate partial buckling and global buckling theory.Four members were tested and the finite element numerical simulation was conducted in parallel to study the influence of different factors on the strength,such as corrugation dimensions,web thickness,etc.The test results show that shear strength of corrugated web can exceed steel shear yield strength,if the corrugation dimension is rational,and the finite element method can effectively predict the shear strength and the failure mode.Finally,the design proposal is put forward upon the theoretical analysis experimental investigation results.

Abstract:The wind tunnel tests on rigid models of saddle shape cable roofs with or without enclosed wall were carried out in exposure categories B and D in TJ2 wind tunnel by using the synchronous multi pressure scanning technique. The mean wind pressure coefficient (shape factor) were investigated based on the wind pressure data obtained from the test.The distribution characteristics of the shape factors on the two wind field conditions and their relationships were specially analyzed. Besides, the influences from the enclosed wall on wind pressure distribution characteristics were also discussed in detail in comparison with the shape factors on the saddle roof model with or without enclosed wall.

Abstract:A new elasto plastic constitutive model for sand is proposed according to a stress path independent energy based hardening function.A stress path independent relationship between the irreversible strain energy and a stress parameter is formulated based on results from a series of drained plane strain compression (PSC) tests on saturated dense Toyoura sand with precise stress and strain measurements performed along a wide variety of stress path.The model is coupled with an isotropically work hardening and softening,non associated,elasto plastic material description.The FEM code incorporating the above mentioned model is validated by simulating physical PSC tests.The proposed model can better simulate the effects on the deformation characteristics of stress history as well as those of pressure level,inherent anisotropy,void ratio and work softening associated with strain localization into a shear band.
Abstract:Based on the traditional constitutive model for cohesionless soil,an elasto plastic model for coarse granular material is proposed,which can describe both strain work softening and dilatancy reasonably.The two yield surfaces model can reflect shear deformation and compression deformation respectively,making up for the deficiency of single yield surface model,and the relativity between phase transformation stress ratio and initial effective pressure is considered when describing the dilatancy of coarse aggregates.A strain work softening equation including the stress ratios at steady state and peak state is developed,which can express the characteristic of strain work softening preferably.The numerical simulation agrees well with the data of large scale triaxial compression test,which proves the model to be of the priority in describing the dilatancy and strain work softening under low and relatively high confining pressure.

Abstract:A laboratory model test was conducted to reveal the difference of bearing capacity of a pile that stays in the mucky clay and the tip of which enters strong bearing layer (sand) and weak bearing layer (silt clay)respectively.The results show that the mucky clay has the characteristic of strain softening; the stronger the strength of bearing layer becomes, the more the pile skin friction increases. The results can explain why the skin friction of the precast pile in mucky clay should be discounted properly in the case that the pile tip bearing stratum is the 5th layer (weak bearing layer)as stipulated in Shanghai Foundation Design Code.

Abstract:An unstressed test was made to study the compressive strength and stress strain curve properties of self compacting concrete (SCC), self compacting concrete with addition of polypropylene fiber (PPF), high strength concrete (HSC) under different temperatures.The relationship between compressive strength, stress strain curve and temperature of self compacting concrete was revealed.Stress strain curve function was obtained based on the experiment results, and compared with those of normal concrete (NC), high strength concrete, high performance concrete (HPC). The research results are helpful for for the establishment of constitutive model at high temperature and contributes to the design and analysis of self compacting concrete structure.
Abstract:The paper presents an investigation of the relationship between the permeability and the durability,and a study of the effect of air entrainment on durability and the improvement mechanism of concrete durability by air entrainment.The permeability is found to be related to some degree with the durability when the concrete is exposed to the chemical attacks such as chlorine ion intrusion,carbonation and sulfate chemical erosion,but no obvious relation is found as to the durability against the expansion caused by freeze,sulfate crystallization and alkali aggregate reaction.Study results show that the comprehensive durability can be improved by air entrainment in comparison with the ordinary concrete,and the concrete resistance against permeability is improved accordingly at equal compressive strength.
Abstract:Based on the three dimensional elastic theory of orthotropic magnetoelectroelastic materials and assumption that the mechanical,electric and magnetic properties of the materials vary continuously along the thickness direction and have the same exponential distribution,the state equations of dynamic analysis are derived in terms of displacement components,electric potential,magnetic potential and their first derivatives.A semi analytical numerical method that combines the one dimensional differential quadrature method with the state space method is employed to solve the governing equations.Numerical results are given to demonstrate the accuracy and superiority of the present method.Three dimensional dynamical behavior of functionally graded magnetoelectroelastic circular plates is investigated through examples and the influences of the different functionally graded material properties are analyzed.The results can be a good reference to the design of the magnetoelectroelastic structures.

Abstract:The main idea of fast multipole virtual boundary element method (VBEM) presented in the paper is that generalized minimal residual algorithm (GMRES) and fast multipole method (FMM) are integrated with the solution of VBEM equations.In virtue of the combined scheme of multipole expansion at the collocation point and local expansion at the integration point,the complexities of operation and memory about solution of the equations are made to be linearly proportional to the freedoms of the problem.As an application of the method,the effective elastic moduli of a plate containing randomly distributed circular holes are analyzed and the results are compared with one of other numerical methods.And the feasibility,accuracy and efficiency of this method are fully demonstrated.

Abstract:In view of the multi objective property of urban traffic signal control,the pater presents a multi objective cycle length optimization(MOCLO)model with the vehicle volume and the pedestrian number as the inputs and minimum vehicle,pedestrian delay and stops as the optimization objectives.Ant colony optimization algorthms are resorted to solving the MOCLO model and can approximate every part of Pareto optimal front uniformly.A case study show that MOCLO model can give better cycle length than F B method and ARRB method on the trade off among various objectives and the alternative solutions for all potential situations.

Abstract:An extension of the feedback local ramp metering strategy ALINEA is proposed for Wuyi on ramp in Shanghai urban expressway network by taking ramp queue length and control threshold restriction into consideration.Based on ALINEA parameters study results and data analysis,the ALINEA parameters values are determined.During the ramp metering cycles,the queue length subsection constraint model is proposed for the ramp queue length to avoid exceeding the accepted queue length.The data analysis determines the control threshold parameters and the Wuyi on ramp control threshold table is then formed.So this local metering strategy for urban expressway includes ramp model control threshold,ALINEA algorithm and queue length subsection constraint model.The off line simulation results show the ramp metering strategy helps to overcome the urban expressway mainline downstream congestion and accelerate the mainline speed.

Abstract:The paper presents a method for computing real time travel time reliability measure at different time of a day. Travel time distribution and travel time reliability measure over one day were investigated and analyzed on the basis of the measured travel time data of a signalized road.Analysis results show travel time distribution is skew and hysteretic, which denies the widely accepted assumption in this field that the travel time distribution is normal distribution. The relationship between reliability index, skewness of travel time distribution and the travel time reliability measure were also studied.

Abstract:Based on a large number of eye movement driving experiments, the evaluation index of visual overload named “maximum transient velocity value of pupil area” (MTPA) was established. Correlation among drivers’ visual obstacles, driving visual comfort and visual load was analyzed by applying MTPA evaluation index at entrance and exit of freeway tunnel, therefore visual environment scopes to be improved are obtained under different speed limited during the daytime and the night respectively. And some improvement measures on tunnel white hole effect and black hole effect at entrance and exit of highway tunnel are recommended by means of plant planning, illumination enhancement,road surface coloring, etc.

Abstract:Based on the vision function method and a self developed road lighting reaction time equipment, a comparative study is made of the reaction time of mesopic vision and indirect spectrum energy spreading of three light sources (HPS, LED and LVD). With the collected data,the luminance contrast factors, relative light efficiency and calculated light efficiency of LED, LVD and HPS are obtained.A conclusion is drawn that the lighting safety and energy saving efficiency of LED is much better than those of HPS and LVD. An analysis of the data of spectral energy spreading of three light sources reveals the internal relationship of these three light sources and their similarities and differences, which contributes to further researches.

Abstract:The changing law of Poisson’s ratio of asphalt mixtures was obtained and analyzed by comparing the results of two measuring methods based on indirect tensile test and uniaxial compression test.The test results show that the Poisson’s ratio of hot mix asphalt (HMA) remains stable and can be a constant at low temperature or small load, and becomes the function of temperature and stress at high temperature of large load. The theoretical study also shows that HMA Poisson’s ratio becomes the function of temperature and stress at high temperature of large load, and validates the test results. The Poisson’s ratio of different physical meaning reflects the lateral displacement resistance of asphalt mixture with varied running conditions.

Abstract:Related indexes of biostabilization,the pretreatment of municipal solid waste (MSW) prior to landfill are determined,and changes of pollution potential for landfill are discussed.After 44 days of biostabilization (active degradation stage and curing stage),the weight of MSW reduces by about 70% (in wet weight).The fractions of the readily degradable organic matters diminish significantly,but the lignocelluloses become the major components,reaching 62% (in dry weight).The biological reactivity value AT4 reduces by 80%.The methane emissions are estimated to decrease by 80%.Both chemical oxygen demand(COD) and total organic carbon(TOC) in the eluates plummet by 90%.TN and NH4—N in the eluates decrease to 60% and 20% respectively.The above results show that the process of biostabilization can reduce the pollution potential for landfill.

Abstract:A study was made of the effect of temperature on municipal wastewater treament in modified expanded granular sludge bed (EGSB).The result shows that the pH of water in the reactor remains to be 6.2~7.6 after stability at lower temperature(7~13 ℃),and 6.0~7.4 at higher temperature(>25 ℃) during starting up.The reactor is easier to start up at higher temperature with higher chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal efficiency.The alkalinity of water in the reactor is 400 mg·L-1 during the period of lower temperature,and 600 mg·L-1 in the period of higher temperature.The concentrations of volatile fatty acid(VFA) of outlet (180 mg·L-1) are greater at higher temperature than those at lower temperature(120 mg·L-1).The COD removal efficiency increases from 63.7% to 87.0%with the increasing of temperture in the reactor from an average temperature less than 15 ℃ to 25 ℃ or above.A negative relation is found between the oxidative redox potential (ORP) and the removal efficiency of COD in the reactor.ORP changes from -410 mV to -520 mV when the temperature varies from 7 to 29 ℃.

Abstract:One strain, named as Bacillus sp. F2, of which flocculent ability can reach 84%, was separated. Flocculent genomic library was constructed.A strain of Bacillus coli. Positive clone FC2, which could express flocculent activity, was acquired after selection. Infrared spectrum analysis demonstrated that FC2’s flocculent characteristic inherited from the original flocculent bacterium F2. The cloning bacterium were divided into FLO1 phenotypes on the basis of their response to sugar inhibition. Related physiological and biochemical characteristics of the strains were studied. The results show that the flocculation of FLO1 phenotype is only inhibited by mannose. It is sensitive to Ca2+ and pH, tolerant to temperature and storage period.

Abstract:Based on a case study of Minhang district of Shanghai,a city ecological environment quality index system is established,which covers the society,economy and the nature and so on.The weight of indicators is decided according to experts’ advice and the method of analytic hierarchy process.With the vector based spatial overlapping method,an investigation is made into the spatial variation and its causes for eco environment single factor and multi factor.The study result offers a decision support for city ecological development.

Abstract:An optimized strategy is proposed,whose optimization parameter is input and output angle of the torque converter, for improving the economy and maintaining the dynamics of the torque converter.A new optimization arithmetic is proposed to grid the optimizied parameters and deal with constrains independent of the punishment functions.A case study result proves the feasibility of the strategy and the arithmetic.

Abstract:With the temperature and water vapor gradient being chosen as the driven potential,the coupled heat and moisture equations were established in multi wall.Under the periodic conditions,the coupled equations were solved by a numerical method,and the Fluent was used to modify the scalar equation.The numerical results were also compared with the experimentally measured data reported in the literature.Water vapor pressure and heat flux distribution were computed.The results show that in winter,condensation occurs in the interface between the interior insulation and brick;but for the exterior insulation,condensation never occurs either in winter or summer.
Abstract:In order to achieve the intelligent design for products,research is conducted on feature expression of product by normal form,feature amalgamation hypothesis and coordinates transformation algorithm.Based on the research,the feature expression model of product is established; Then,with an analysis of the definition of total function,function expression,the function model of product is built.With the functions broken up,function feature mapping is achjeved.At last,based on the research of feature gene coding,the product’s function is described with gene coding.
Abstract:The fact that the density contrast varies with the depth should be considered when inversing the interface of basement,for the density of the layer becomes larger with depth in most sedimentary basins.When the basement rock also posses magnetism, joint inversion of gravity and magnetic data can be used to reveal the burial depth of sedimentary basins,which is one of the most important structure information,so nonuniqueness of inversion can be reduced.Iterative method is used in the model of varying density and constant magnetic susceptibility to inverse the fluctuation of the interface,and to get the correct of interface depth through damped least squares method and first order of Parker’s Equation of gravity and magnetic.Feasibility is proved through model test,and this method is applied to the process of field data,good effects are achieved.
Abstract:It is shown that br(Ts,Kn,n)≤sn for all integers n≥s≥3045, and br(Kt,t,Km,n)≤n+cn1-1/t for fixed integers t≥2,m≥1,where c>0 is a constant.Moreover,br(Kt,t,Km,n-m) for positive integers is obtained,which improves the lower bound r(Kt,t,Km,n-m)/2.
Abstract:To support the electronic transaction,a multi issue autonomous negotiation model based on sellers’ multi proposals and buyers’ evaluation is presented with the premise of private information and limited time.The strategy of the buyer agent is simplified to evaluate the one or several proposals generated by the seller agent in every round of negotiation.The seller agent,according to time or/and resource dependent strategy,calculates the whole utility concession;and different combinations of conceded issues and the utility reduction of each are decided on the basis of the buyer’s evaluation and the negotiation history.Then,several new proposals of the same utility are put forward by the seller.This model helps to relieve the system of communication and computation burden,speed up the convergence of result and improve the efficiency and quality of the negotiation with a good joint utility when the buyer utility function is linear.
Abstract:As for the problem of pricing path dependent European options in a market with transaction costs,the paper presents the discrete schemes based on the Markov chain and modified binomial approximation of the stock price,and shows the convergence of discrete schemes.
Abstract:Six indexes were established as a measurement to deal with the non fair related transactions,and then an analysis was made of the 41 samples of stocks listed both in A share market and H share market. Comparative study results show that the shares listed both in Mainland and Hong Kong stock market prove to be of less probability for non fair related transactions due to the better legal environment and more sound regulations in Hong Kong.Accordingly,an effective way is proposed to curb the possibility for non fair related transactions via the improvement of listed regulations and disclosure on related transactions.

Abstract:Based on analysis of the behavior of the underwriter who has the right of allocation and the two kinds of inquirers who will give exceeding price,a dynamic state model is established.The model,is used to identify the equilibrium relationship among the influence of the right of allocation,the aim of underpricing level and the inquiry interval.The game and mathematical analysis of this model indicates that the exceeding price can be averted by giving the right of allocation to the underwriter,the aim of underpricing level achieved and the efficiency of inquiry realized.
